The Maine EMS Memorial and Educations Site’s groundbreaking and first phase completion and dedication took place in 2013, making this year its 10th Anniversary.
It is the unique site in the country dedicated to not only memorializing a state’s EMS professionals who have given their lives in the line of duty, but to educate the public about the EMS system and those professionals who serve it. It does this through an audio tour of EMS heard from the voices of those professionals: EMTs and paramedics, communicators, nurses, physicians and others who work the system every day.
